DESCRIPTION:Join the #NotOnOurWatch Campaign to Save the African Penguin initiated by the Two Oceans Aquarium Foundation in Cape Town  \nTHE AIM OF THE #NotOnOurWatch CAMPAIGN IS TO: \nEstablish awareness far and wide about the plight of our African Penguin. Simply everyone can make a difference in some way and together\, we can amplify our collective voice to protect this incredible species for generations to come. We will not let the African Penguin go extinct on our watch #NOOW \nHOW YOU CAN YOUR SCHOOL HELP? \n Please kindly circulate “Our African Penguin is expected to go extinct in 12 years” document containing crucial information about the current extinction risk faced by our native African Penguin and how we can all help to make a difference to your learners and parents. \nAs you know knowledge is key and we firmly believe that awareness and understanding could greatly assist in the preservation of this species. \nIf your school would like to participate in this element of the #NOOW campaign please click here: CLICK HERE \n HOW YOU CAN YOUR SCHOOL HELP? \nWe also request your school to participate in the #NOOW African Penguin Support Week in schools across South Africa.  Your schools can pledge their support in many ways pledge in support of the #NotOnOurWatch campaign by participating in a penguin activity at school during the last week of September (26th to 29th) \n Have your school join in the #NOOW Penguin awareness week and pledge their support to saving the African Penguin from extinction. If thousands of young people raise their voices to try to save this endangered species\, they will get the whole country to listen. \nThe “How to partake in the #NOOW African penguin Awareness week” document holds more information on just how your school can get involved and make their voice heard. \nYou can encourage school learners and staff to wear black and white clothes or accessories to school or hold your own school African Penguin waddle across the sports field\, create a mural or come up with your own initiative. \nAnd help us SPREAD THE WORD by taking pics and sharing them on your school pages and social media tagging #NOOW and #AfricanPenguin. And emailing pictures to the #NOOW campaign at info@africanpenguin.org and we can then share them on our platforms. \nIf your school would like to participate in this element of the #NOOW campaign please CLICK HERE \nLet’s unite to make a difference and ensure that the African Penguin is not lost on our watch.
